Why to Switch from IE to Another Web Browser

I used to use Internet Explorer for many years. Some of my family members had switched to other browsers. At first, I couldn't see why. Then, I realized all the problems I was having with IE. It crashed on some of my favorite sites (i. e. Youtube, IGN) and was really starting to annoy me.
Some people might be reading this and saying, "Why should I switch?" There's many reasons.
1. Internet Explorer is one of the slowest browsers in the current browser market.

2. Many browser are safer with a pop-up blocker and built-in detection for fraudulent sites.

3. IE has no recovery for a lost sessions if it crashes while Firefox, Opera, and other browser have.

4. Not only IE is slow at loading web pages, but also takes a long time to start up.

5. In IE you can't tell it to delete your cookies and private data after each session while you can in most other browsers.

6. If you switch, you'll notice how little other web browsers don't crash nearly as much as IE.

Bottom line, IE is slow, clunky, unsafe, and just flat out bad. Some better browsers than IE are Firefox, Opera, Safari (now available for Windows), Maxathon, Netscape, and tons of less major ones. Overall I like Opera and Firefox the best. I've beta tested both Opera 9.5 and the latest beta of Firefox 3 and they are both great! But then, IE8 is supposed to be a lot better than the current IE7 and you should at least try that when it comes out.
So I hope you liked this blog and please comment!

I gave up on IE long ago. It just sucked compared to other browsers, especially FireFox.

I use FF 100% of the time and use other browsers only to see if the sites I have created for myself and clients look great in all of them.

I have so many add-ons for FF now I would hate to change.
